Welcome to the Title I Webpage where you will find information on how students are identified, what services are offered, professional development for teachers, parent participation opportunities, and criteria for exiting the program.

The Title I Schoolwide Program is intended to ensure that all students have the opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on the challenging state academic assessments. Services enhance the education of all students while also targeting students who are having difficulty meeting the rigorous state academic standards. Federal Title I funds are used to provide academic enrichment and additional support opportunities to help our struggling students.

The Title I program at the Elementary Schools:

  1. The Title I team consists of reading and math specialists and paraprofessional that are highly qualified.
  2. In class support and small group instruction in language arts and math.
  3. Uses a variety of instructional programs to strengthen student skills and address specific areas of weakness.
  4. Ongoing assessment to develop intervention program.
  5. Provides teacher and staff training as needed.

The Title I program at the Pine Hill Middle School:

  1. The Title I team consists of reading and math specialists and paraprofessional that are highly qualified.
  2. Includes in class support, small group instruction, study hall, tutoring after school and Project Success tutoring in language arts and math.
  3. Uses a variety of instructional programs, including Study Island and Accelerated Math, to strengthen student skills and address specific areas of weakness.
  4. Ongoing assessment to develop intervention program.
  5. Provides teacher and staff training as needed.

Summer Tips:

  • Practice math facts
  • Read 20 minutes a day
  • Summarize chapters in a journal
  • Review journal before AR test in September
